Dr Anita Lai is a Rheumatologist practicing in Midrand who specialises in the treatment of Rheumatic diseases which negatively affect your body and it’s ability to function normally.
Dr Lai contacted RE to design and develop a website for her newly established practice in Midrand. In our initial meeting Dr Lai mentioned she did not have a logo or formal brand identity that could be applied to her website, and so we were contracted to design these as well.
We conducted in depth brand analysis, which revealed Dr Lai's core values, namely; reliability, trust and approachability. The insights gained during our brand analysis meeting were used as a foundation when designing Dr Lai’s logo and brand stationary.
The logo showcases a subsection of the knee joint at a front-facing angle, which is encircled by a magnifying glass icon to emphasis an indepth and comprehensive approach.
The brand colours we selected were a bright orange and Blue, which denotes trust, youthfulness and friendliness. Both the typeface and Logo mark make use of rounded shapes and letter forms, helping to promote a friendly and approachable brand.
We then applied her brand identity to a mobile-friendly single page website, which includes a comprehensive contact form where Dr Lai can receive requests for appointments. We edited imagery, deigned icons and wrote compelling copywriting for the website. We then focused on developing a clean and simple layout that would provide users with straightforward insights into the field of rheumatology, whilst communicating important practice details that would make it easy for patients to get hold of Dr Lai.
